It's the Tiger year now! I have been savoring these goodies since the mum bought them. Yuck, I think I have gain 3kg from it.
Few weeks back, I received the corporate's e-greeting template for Chinese New Year and immediate reaction upon seeing it is, 'What's the heck? Why is the tiger(represent company) moving downward in the left(back) direction? My colleague has the same sentiment toward it.
Colleague: 'Shall we feedback to the design team?'
Me: 'Hm, I'm sure those senior colleagues will act before us'
Later that evening, I was chatting with my mum and I brought up this matter.
Me: 'My company has designed not-so-auspicious Chinese New Year greeting card.' Blah blah...
Mum: 'Do you know that when people buy paintings of tiger, they will look for tiger in the posture that deem going down the mountain to prey for food. It is said that this tiger is a hungry tiger. If the tiger is moving up, it mean it has eaten to its full and is going back to its cave to sleep!'
そうですね! This is how we should interpret the picture.
Luckily, our previous lack of initiative has saved a possible moment of embarrassment. So now I understand, my company is a aggressive and hungry big cat, waiting to prowl on the customers.
PS: It's Vday today. I have already recieved my present. A bouquet of 3 magenta roses and a black Pentax KX. I have been joking about the SLR camera for vday gift. And he really bought it! Lotsa of Mucks&Hugs for my dear. I have not gotten anything for him. Guilt guilt guilt...
