Old friend's wedding on Boxing Day

One of my old friends is officially "off the shelves".  Yeah, feel so happy for her!

Her wedding has left me thinking that one does not need to buy in the standard yet expensive wedding packages that were offered around in Singapore. The guest would be more impressed if the couple have personalised the setting.

You can clip your wedding pictures on a big tree-like metal hanger  instead of putting together a damn expensive fanciful photo album ($70-90 per each heavily photoshopped pic with the possibility that people may comment "it doesn't look like the bride ) at the reception area. Afterall, the weddings I have been, I never remember the photos that I have seen except for the couple of special ones. e.g. couple wearing spectacles in their gown and suit. It was geeky but the feel is very unqiue.

Another idea I like from my friend wedding is that they provided a big white board for you to write your congrats down and to be photographed with the couple! And everything was well  captured in the snapshot for memorials!

The one common complaint that I hear about weddings is that the guests never received the photos that they have taken, be it with the couple or friends. I think it was very nice of my friend to engaged a vendor who took unlimited Polaroid photos of the guests and these photos were printed on the spot to be given to guest as souvenir. Me and friends instantly get hooked on it and we made the photographers took several pictures of us!

By the way, the food at Marriot Hotel was fantastic as well. We girls round the table enjoyed till  the last dish very much.
