Guess what? Today is a special day (no, not xmas). I have successfully baked a cake the first time without aid. It's such a big deal that I now know how to crack the eggs and separate the yolk and the whites, know how to operate the blender, stoves and sieving, using the correct utensils, and most importantly following the instruction. Dear, you lose with your 1cm cake hahahahahaha :P
The previous attempt had failed with the oil popping in the volcano-erupting-style from the gooey mixture while being baked in the oven supposedly. This time round, my SIL has commented that the mixture look right and the cake "rise" to a good height. However the cake is tad abit dry. SIL advised next time to add in 1 tablespoon of milk. Shall try that next time...
The dough's expanding
